Charisma Carpenter

 Charisma Carpenter was born July 23rd 70 years ago. [1] She starred as Cordelia Chase in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also starred with Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012 strong>

 



 

  Carpenter was the daughter of Christine Carpenter who was a bird sanctuary worker, as well as Don Carpenter (a salesman) Born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. [6] She also was a part of a song and dance troupe which performed throughout the Las Vegas Valley when Carpenter was nine years old.

 



 

  Carpenter was Carpenter was 15 years old, her family relocated to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico. She then moved relocated to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was a frequent traveler throughout Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, as an aerobics instructor, in addition to property management. In 1991, she played cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers. In 1992, she relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles.

 



 

  While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male acquaintances were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to take them down with guns. In the course of the battle the two friends as well as Hubbard were killed, forcing him to flee the scene and both of them survived the assault. Hubbard was convicted and sentenced to 56 year imprisonment for a series rapes and robberies. Carpenter took Hubbard's police-issue flashlight from the beach, which he left at the scene, and the flashlight turned out to be the most important evidence used against him

 



 

  Carpenter was listed as No. 31 on the AskMen's top 99 Most Wanted Women 2002[30[30.] as well as No. 44 on their 2005 ranking. Carpenter stated that she does not consider herself to be sexually attractive, even though she is. Carpenter was on the cover of Playboy magazine's June issue in 2004. The magazine also included her in a ten page nude photo. People magazine asked Carpenter in 2005 if she would ever again pose for Playboy. She replied "I don’t know." Playboy was a choice that I took for a specific reason. It was a wise choice for me financially. I also felt it was the best choice for me. I had just had my child and had gained about 50 pounds in pregnancy. I wanted to look like my former self. I wanted to be attractive and sexy. I thought: "What if you went full throttle?"
